Staff Bio: Tim Steere

Tim Steere is Rally Point’s full-time racquet stringer and a vital part of the facility’s day-to-day operations. A top competitor during his high school years at Ponaganset High School, Tim has continued to build on his strong tennis foundation by competing in numerous successful USTA teams over the years. Certified by the United States Racquet Stringers Association (USRSA), Tim brings a high level of precision, expertise, and care to every racquet he strings. His deep understanding of string types, tension preferences, and playing styles makes him one of the most sought-after stringers in Rhode Island. Whether you are a competitive player, weekend warrior, or complete beginner, Tim ensures your racquet is strung to match your unique game. Not a member of Rally Point? No problem—racquet stringing is open to the public, and Tim offers labor-only pricing if you bring your own string. In addition to his stringing work, Tim enjoys playing in Rally Point’s high-level men’s leagues, spending time outdoors, and applying his hands-on experiences and problem-solving skills to any challenge that comes his way.

About Rally Point

Rally Point Racquet Club opened its doors in 1972 with just three courts and no lounge area, founded by a group of friends who saw tennis gaining popularity across the U.S. and wanted to create a place where their community could come together to share in the love of the sport. Their vision quickly took hold, and after early success, the club expanded—adding three more courts and building the indoor space that continues to serve as the heart of the facility today. Over the past 50+ years, Rally Point has grown steadily by listening to and evolving with its most dedicated players and supporters.
