Staff Bio: Russ Steere

Russ Steere is the man who started it all at Rally Point Racquet Club, serving as its first full-time General Manager shortly after the doors opened in 1972. With a business degree and collegiate tennis experience from Bryant University, Russ laid the foundation for what has become one of the most successful and beloved tennis communities in the region. He built every league from the ground up and has spent decades passing on his knowledge and passion to multiple generations of tennis players. Beloved both on and off the court, Russ is a true pillar of the Rally Point family—someone who can hardly go anywhere without running into someone that he has coached, mentored, or inspired at some point in their lives. Though he officially retired in 2024, Russ continues to teach junior & adult clinics at Rally Point part-time, sharing his legacy and love for the game with players old and new.

About Rally Point

Rally Point Racquet Club opened its doors in 1972 with just three courts and no lounge area, founded by a group of friends who saw tennis gaining popularity across the U.S. and wanted to create a place where their community could come together to share in the love of the sport. Their vision quickly took hold, and after early success, the club expanded—adding three more courts and building the indoor space that continues to serve as the heart of the facility today. Over the past 50+ years, Rally Point has grown steadily by listening to and evolving with its most dedicated players and supporters.
